2007 Office of the Year Nominee

“Your teeth, mind, and body will feel great.” That’s what sets the team at Dr. Sasaki’s Dental Spa apart from the rest.

During the past year, our office has provided exceptional care to our patients and we have made it our primary objective to make patients feel like a day at the dentist is like a day at the spa. Our goal is to pamper our patients not only in their mouth, but as a whole. 

A comfort menu is provided to our patients where they can choose from multiple complementary relaxation items. Hand and foot massages during treatment, chair massages after treatment, paraffin hand dips, a variety of music, and aroma therapy in each room. In addition, we have a reward program where patients can choose from a one hour message or a $30 gift certificate to local stores or restaurants. The program not only rewards referrals, but it also rewards any new patients just for coming in and experiencing our practice.

With everyone’s busy lives and hectic schedules, we are not only providing outstanding care to our patients in the office but in the community as well. In appreciation of the “nuns”, sisters of Mary Mother of the Eucharist, our office has donated our time and provided $20,771.91 worth of care to 30 sisters; this is a mutually rewarding relationship.

Getting older is something that most of us fear, but many are also concerned about who will take care of their health needs. That’s why our office regularly does complementary oral cancer exams to local nursing homes and assisted living centers. We also spent over 150 hours at Glacier Hills, a local assisted living/nursing home, were we provided care to some of the most challenging patients who suffer from multiple medical conditions (Alzheimer's, MS, strokes). 

Operating a successful practice in Michigan poses a significant challenge with our economy at an all-time low and unemployment at an all-time high. Most practices in this area have experienced drops in regular checkups and a significant decrease in their patient base since many local residents have moved out of the state. However, we are proud to say that we are not letting this get us down. Instead, over the past year, we have seen over 250 new patients, and we plan on continuing this pattern on into 2008. Our patients love our spa treatment and our friendly staff. One of our patients put it best, “I used to dread going to the dentist, now, I actually look forward to it!”
